"Exceptional. Many thanks once again. Solo diner, no reservation. Came at opening on a Friday night and seated at the counter right away. Great value - full dinner including 1/2L Lambrusco ~€50. Incredible."

"This was easily one of our most special meals in a city with so many wonderful dining options. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the owner is very thoughtful and friendly, and the food is insanely delicious. We stopped here for lunch and my mouth waters just thinking about it. Plus, even combined with wine and sparkling water, it was very reasonably priced. The location was a bit out of the way for us in comparison to other restaurant selections but was totally worth it. Highly recommend."

"Trattoria di Via Serra is a true gem in Bologna and fully deserves its Michelin Bib Gourmand status. I arrived 30 minutes before they opened for dinner at 7 PM to ensure a spot, and it was well worth the wait."

"The server was very thoughtful and proactively split the ravioli in brodo into two small bowls for us! The dishes overall were a bit salty."

"I’ve been up and down Italy seeking out the best food everywhere I go, and this is absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had in over 20 years visiting this country. Not only is the food good, but the owner and staff are super friendly and gracious. They are booked solid every night and don’t even really need to open the door if they don’t want to. But they will tell anyone that tries to get in without a reservation what the situation is and the best way to get in. Lovely place I will be back many times"

"a must go if you’re in Bologna. the tip to get a table is either make a reservation (a week or two in advance), or be there early before they open to do walk in (if you’re lucky enough). the waitress (she got the looks of Lady Gaga) was super friendly and welcoming, i hope you get her! the food was simple but very very good, definitely worth dining here!"

"What an absolute gem! If you haven’t booked in advance, good luck as it is very busy but if you turn up early and queue you may get one of the few open seats available. If you want to book, call between 10 and 12 and they tend to answer the phone. The food was wonderful. Local produce, cooked based on the seasons. Not much choice but who cares when it is this good? My starter of young Parmesan and bacon was delightful followed by tagliatelle al ragu which was superb and finished with a ricotta cheesecake that melted in the mouth. The wine list doesn’t exist as it is house wine but lovely. The service was spot on and the owner was delightful. Oh, and amazing value for money too. Overall, a wonderful experience made better by meeting a beautiful English lady at the end of dinner who loved the place just as much as I did."
